Benjamin holds a master's degree in applied ecology from the University of Sherbrooke and is interested in nature conservation and the adaptation of socio-ecosystems to climate change. During his studies, he wrote an essay on the adaptation of Andean and Hindu Kush-Himalayan communities to glacier melt and completed an internship at the MELCCFP's protected areas department.
His journey led him to find ways to effectively synthesize the information available on a given territory in order to provide an overview of the situation of its ecosystems. In the context of a protected area, such a portrait helps to identify knowledge gaps to be filled by research activities and can serve as a starting point for the implementation of adaptive and informed management measures.
