Raphaëlle has a wide range of experience and knowledge in the marine environment, particularly with respect to consultation, MPA governance and the socio-economic issues of marine conservation. She holds a master's degree in environmental sciences and a doctorate in marine resource management. She has held several jobs in marine conservation, within NGOs and NPOs (CPAWS Quebec where she participated in setting up the marine component of the organization and Comité de la zone d'intervention prioritaire (ZIP) Saguenay-Charlevoix as director). After a brief stint at MELCC to work on the development of the Quebec MPA network, she joined the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park team in 2022 to contribute to the park's strategic orientations and to improve its monitoring program.
