Mathieu Boudreault, Ph.D., FSA, FICA, is Professor in Actuarial Science in the Department of Mathematics at UQAM. He is interested in the insurance and reinsurance of climate extremes (mainly floods and tropical cyclones), flood insurance in Quebec and Canada, compensation programs and financial risk sharing. He is currently working with the federal government and the insurance and reinsurance industry to better model, quantify and manage the impacts of climate extremes and climate change in Canada and around the world.
