Louise Arnal has been a hydrologist since 2014, specializing in medium- to long-term ensemble hydrological forecasting. She holds a PhD in Environmental Science from the University of Reading (2019), in collaboration with the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF). More recently, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Saskatchewan.

As both an artist and a scientist, Louise also aims to foster scientific engagement by merging science and art. She has curated several art-science projects and exhibitions, including the Virtual Water Gallery.

Louise joined Ouranos in 2023, where she primarily focuses on hydro-climatological modeling in Quebec as part of the INFO-Crue and QClim’Eau projects.
