Laurence Coulombe holds a bachelor’s degree in human and organizational communication as well as a master’s degree in environmental science from Université du Québec à Montréal. She has notably worked at the regional council for the environment and sustainable development in Outaouais (CREDDO), where she developed the organization’s expertise in climate change adaptation. In collaboration with various partners from the academic, municipal, community and public health sectors, Laurence has also overseen the completion of numerous projects and structuring tools to help the communities of Quebec’s Outaouais region adapt to the impacts of urban heat islands and flooding. Through her past experience, she has honed her expertise in regional coordination, support for organizations, and climate change adaptation planning, all of which enable her to tackle complex social and environmental issues.
Laurence joined Ouranos’s adaptation science coordination team in January 2022 and oversees the provision of support for climate change adaptation in the tourism sector.
