A climate researcher since 2011, Louis-Philippe Caron spent 4 years at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, specialized in basic and applied research, with funding from the public and the private, at national, European and international level. He co-managed a group of around 25 researchers, within a department of around 100 people, and participated in service contracts for the development of the Copernicus climate change service, including one to meet the needs of the insurance and reinsurance industry. Over the years, he has developed an extensive network of contacts in major European centers, as well as in the United States and Australia.
With Ouranos since 2020, he is in charge of the Scenarios and Climate Services group and works in particular on the support to INFO-Crue.
