Diane Chaumont holds a Master’s in Physical geography from the University of Montreal. During the 1990s, she conducted research on water and sediment sampling, and data analysis, mainly through the St. Lawrence Centre and INRS-ETE. At CERCA, she learned to twin hydrological and meteorological models during studies on the Saguenay floods.

Diane joined Ouranos in 2003, first as a specialist, then as coordinator of the Climate Scenarios and Services group. She became responsible for integrating scientific information for Climate Portraits in 2023.
