Boivin, Maxime (EN)

Maxime Boivin is a researcher at the INSPQ and an associate professor in the Department of Information and Communication at Université Laval. D. in public communication, she is interested in behavioural changes related to public health issues. She is working on reducing the social and health impacts of climate change. Her research projects focus on eco-anxiety and climate change mobilization and communication. She co-directs the Interdisciplinary Research Group on Eco-Anxiety and Civic Engagement.

Boudreault, Mathieu (EN)

Mathieu Boudreault, Ph.D., FSA, FICA, is Professor in Actuarial Science in the Department of Mathematics at UQAM. He is interested in the insurance and reinsurance of climate extremes (mainly floods and tropical cyclones), flood insurance in Quebec and Canada, compensation programs and financial risk sharing. He is currently working with the federal government and the insurance and reinsurance industry to better model, quantify and manage the impacts of climate extremes and climate change in Canada and around the world.

Jean, Michel (EN)

Mr. Jean graduated from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) in physics in 1982 and obtained his Master's degree in meteorology from McGill University in 1987. During his career he has held various positions in operational meteorology and applied research in meteorology and climatology as well as a senior manager with the Meteorological Service of Canada. He has been responsible for many large-scale projects, including the replacement and operation of Environment and Climate Change Canada's supercomputer systems.

Dancette, Raphaëlle (EN)

Raphaëlle has a wide range of experience and knowledge in the marine environment, particularly with respect to consultation, MPA governance and the socio-economic issues of marine conservation. She holds a master's degree in environmental sciences and a doctorate in marine resource management. She has held several jobs in marine conservation, within NGOs and NPOs (CPAWS Quebec where she participated in setting up the marine component of the organization and Comité de la zone d'intervention prioritaire (ZIP) Saguenay-Charlevoix as director).

Labbé, Benjamin (EN)

Benjamin holds a master's degree in applied ecology from the University of Sherbrooke and is interested in nature conservation and the adaptation of socio-ecosystems to climate change. During his studies, he wrote an essay on the adaptation of Andean and Hindu Kush-Himalayan communities to glacier melt and completed an internship at the MELCCFP's protected areas department.
