Bizhanimanzar, Mohammad (EN)

Holder of a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Sherbrooke, Mohammad Bizhanimanzar worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Chaudière River Basin Committee (COBARIC) on the evaluation of the flood reduction potential of wetlands in the context of climate change and as a researcher at the University of Sherbrooke on the development of non-structural flood mitigation strategies for the city of Sherbrooke.

With Ouranos since 2020, he works as a hydroclimatology specialist for the INFO-Crue project.

Leduc, Martin (Ouranos, ANG)

Martin Leduc holds a PhD in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQÀM). He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Concordia University from 2013 to 2015, where he studied the interactions between anthropogenic CO2 emissions in the atmosphere, carbon cycle dynamics and climate change.

With Ouranos since 2015, Martin focuses on the study of natural climate variability through the production of a large set of high-resolution regional climate simulations within the Climate Science group.

Maccario, Sophie (Ouranos, ANG)

Holder of a PhD in Environmental Sciences from UQÀM, specializing in the challenges of using herbicides in field crops in the St. Lawrence plain, Sophie Maccario has worked on the issues of resilience of the food system, the co-creation of the zero-waste grocery store chain LOCO and the establishment of alternative supply systems. She has developed expertise in managing change in business and with consumers, in order to support the transition of the food system towards a more resilient model.

With Ouranos since 2021, Sophie Maccario coordinates the Adaptation Science Team.

Poulin, Annie (EN)

Annie Poulin holds a bachelor's degree in geological engineering from Université Laval and a doctorate in water sciences from INRS-ETE. Since 2010, she is a professor of hydraulics and hydrology at the Department of Construction Engineering of the École de technologie supérieure in Montreal. She is the director of the HC3 Laboratory - Climate Hydrology and Climate Change and has nearly 15 years of experience in hydrological modeling and in the study of the impact of environmental changes on water resources.
