Summary of the activity
This training activity defines risk assessment and its purpose, as well as the associated terminology. Risk assessment is then explained based on the following steps, using a risk matrix:

Presenter

Sonia Hachem holds a PhD in Geographic Sciences from Laval University. She worked as a postdoctoral researcher on the mapping of permafrost zones from satellite images in the circum-Arctic zone with Laval University, Waterloo University and the European Space Agency. She also holds a degree in Higher Education Pedagogy. She worked as a geography teacher at the college level for 6 years.
At Ouranos since 2019, she joigned the Knowledge Transfer andTraining team in 2020 as Research and Knowledge Transfer Specialist.
