New set of regional simulations produced at Ouranos: Fifth-generation Canadian regional climate model driven by CMIP6 (CRCM5-CMIP6)

Summary

This webinar aims to describe the new set of CRCM5 regional climate simulations driven by the CMIP6 global climate models (GCMs) in production at Ouranos, which covers North America at a resolution of 0.11°. In addition to presenting the choices that have been made in recent months/years with regard to emissions scenarios and pilot models, we will show a few basic evaluations as well as expected climate changes based on simulations that have already been completed. Systematic biases, historic simulations, changes by period and degree of warming, differences with CMIP5-driven simulations... This webinar has something for everybody. The webinar will conclude with a discussion of data access.
