Description
This webinar focuses on recent advances in flood risk assessment in the context of climate change in Quebec. Simulations, scenarios, and climate analyses developed by Ouranos and its partners will be presented to better understand the impact of climatic conditions on floods and the evolution of flood-prone areas.
Summary
In Quebec, floods are one of the main natural hazards that create social, economic, and environmental impacts on society. In recent years, Ouranos and several collaborators have worked to produce simulations, scenarios, and climate analyses to better understand the effects of climatic conditions on floods in order to estimate the future evolution of flood-prone areas in a context of climate change.
