Holder of a PhD in Atmospheric Physics from the University of Toulouse III, Émilie Bresson has worked as a research engineer on intense rain events and a postdoctoral researcher on winter storms at Météo-France. A postdoctoral researcher in collaboration with UQÀM and Ouranos, she evaluated the ice and then the snow on the ground in the Canadian Regional Climate Model (CRCM5). She then studied the effects of climate change on mine restoration with UQAT and Polytechnique-Montréal, as a postdoctoral researcher and then as an associate researcher.

With Ouranos since 2019, Émilie Bresson is part of the Climate Science and Climate Services team as a specialist in Research and support for innovation. She contributes to various projects, particularly those related to ice storms and mines.
