Biljana Music holds a Master's degree in Meteorology from the University of Belgrade and a PhD in Environmental Sciences from the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQÀM). She worked at the University of Belgrade for nearly ten years, where she taught courses in meteorology and climatology, and researched the physics of clouds and severe weather.

With Ouranos since 2007, Biljana Music focuses on the study of the interactions between the atmosphere and the earth's surface and more specifically on the processes related to the water cycle. She is part of the team of specialists of the Climate Science team and acts as an associate professor at the Faculty of Science and Engineering of Laval University.
