Rondia, Emmanuel (EN)

Emmanuel holds a degree in civil electromechanical engineering (specializing in energy) from the Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium). He also completed a short postgraduate program in environmental education at the University of Quebec in Montreal. From 2007 to 2012, he worked as a development and communication officer at the Quebec Association for the Promotion of Environmental Education (AQPERE). He then spent over 11 years at the Regional Environmental Council of Montreal (CRE-Montréal).

Campagna, Céline (EN)

Céline holds a PhD in animal sciences from Université Laval and many years of experience in climate change and health. She joined INSPQ's Climate Change and Health scientific team in 2015, and was then responsible for the health component of the Quebec government's Plan d’action sur les changements climatiques (PACC). Over the years, Céline has worked closely with Ouranos on our former health program. Céline is also involved in a number of multidisciplinary scientific projects and contributions relating to health and climate change issues.

Massé-Jodoin, Julien

Julien holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Université de Montréal, as well as a Master's degree in Biology from McGill University, focusing on ecosystem stability and connectivity. He worked for nearly 5 years in the Canadian wind power industry in asset management and operations. Through this experience, he worked primarily as a project manager for the maintenance and upkeep of wind power facilities, which enabled him to familiarize himself with a number of issues specific to the life cycle of energy facilities.

Paumelle, Elia (Ouranos, EN)

Elia Paumelle holds a postgraduate degree in business administration from ESSEC Business School in France. She specializes in corporate social responsibility and adaptation to climate change. She worked for 2 years at Orange, a French telecommunications group, as a research projects manager for responsible digital technology. She moved ontoss sustainable finance, becoming a social and environmental impact analyst for investment firms.

At Ouranos since 2023, Elia Paumelle supports the coordination of climate change adaptation priorities.
 

Bourgeois, Eve (EN, Ouranos)

Eve Bourgeois holds a PhD in political science in collaboration with the School of the Environment from the University of Toronto where she specialized in urban climate change adaptation policies in Quebec. She worked at the Cité-ID LivingLab at the École nationale d’administration publique (ÉNAP) on projects developping innovative practices through the integration of stakeholders in the scientific process to increase urban resilience. At Ouranos since 2023, Eve Bourgeois coordinates the Resilient Economy priority.

Osterman, Hélène (Ouranos, ANG)

Hélène Osterman has Master's degree in Environment, Politics and Society from University College London (UCL). She previous role was as Environmental Science and Technology Consultant for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) where she worked on multi-stakeholder governance, digital governance and in mobilizing research and policy. Prior to that, she spent two years at Future Earth, a global network of researchers and innovators collaborating for a more sustainable planet.

With Ouranos since 2022, Hélène Osterman coordinates the Governance priority.

Gagnon, Alexandre (Ouranos, ANG)

Alexandre Gagnon holds a Master's degree in Environment and Sustainable Development from the University of Montreal. He worked as a research advisor in the ARIAction team at the University of Montreal on issues related to flooding and land use planning.

At Ouranos since 2022, he supports the Adaptation Science Coordination, notably by assisting in the deployment of programming, developing and updating tools, and contributing to the consolidation of a broader network and the valorization of knowledge.

Coulombe, Laurence (Ouranos, ANG)

Laurence Coulombe holds a bachelor’s degree in human and organizational communication as well as a master’s degree in environmental science from Université du Québec à Montréal. She has notably worked at the regional council for the environment and sustainable development in Outaouais (CREDDO), where she developed the organization’s expertise in climate change adaptation.

Maccario, Sophie (Ouranos, ANG)

Holder of a PhD in Environmental Sciences from UQÀM, specializing in the challenges of using herbicides in field crops in the St. Lawrence plain, Sophie Maccario has worked on the issues of resilience of the food system, the co-creation of the zero-waste grocery store chain LOCO and the establishment of alternative supply systems. She has developed expertise in managing change in business and with consumers, in order to support the transition of the food system towards a more resilient model.

With Ouranos since 2021, Sophie Maccario coordinates the Adaptation Science Team.

Champalle, Clara (Ouranos, ANG)

Clara Champalle holds a Master's degree in geography from McGill University and a D.E.S.S. in environment, health and risk management from the University of Montreal. She has 12 years of experience in project management and coordination of multidisciplinary teams in multicultural contexts.

Clara has worked for 10 years as a researcher and consultant on international projects, in Quebec and Canada, related to increasing resilience to climate change, on behalf of several programs of the UN (UNEP, UNDP), various research institutes (ICRAF, ODI) and finally, within AECOM Canada.
